How to Solve the Import Runner Error in Elementor

As of the time this documentation is published, Elementor has only released the Import Template/Website feature in beta. Because of this, you may encounter issues when importing an Elementor Template Kit. This feature is automatically enabled in the latest version of Elementor.

Before troubleshooting, first check your Posts / Pages / Templates / Media to see whether the templates or content have already been imported. In many cases, the import is successful, but the error message still appears.

If the Posts / Pages / Templates / Media are incomplete, we recommend disabling this feature and retrying the process.

Steps:

1. Delete all failed imported Posts / Pages / Templates / Media.
   • You can delete them manually, or reset your WordPress site using the WP Reset plugin (make sure it is safe to delete all content so you avoid duplicate templates).
2. Go to Elementor → Settings → Features tab.

3. Set the Import/Export Customization option to Inactive.

   

4. Click Save Changes.
